Chapter 1
I'm a Senior Systems Engineer at Qualcomm in San Jose, where I make multiple radios live happily inside a single device.
Phones, laptops and wearables cram Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband and Thread into one tiny package. They share spectrum, antennas and hardware, and left alone, they step on each other constantly. My job is wireless coexistence (COEX): making sure they don't.
I work across the whole product lifecycle: feature integration, firmware validation, pre-silicon emulation, silicon bring-up, system verification and automation. When something weird happens across layers, I'm the person with the logs, register dumps and waveform captures open in different windows, working with the hardware, firmware, RF, PHY, MAC and architecture teams until it's fixed.
Before that I did my Master's in Computer Engineering at Arizona State University, wrote C device drivers for a Raspberry Pi, trained neural networks to read chest X-rays, and tutored other engineers through circuits, signals and data structures.
